Arrival Checklist

Keys

The key to the front door is in the lockbox outside - the code is XXXX

Heater

If there is any chance you will require central heating it is a good idea to give it a quick try and make sure it’s working correctly. Just turn up the heat on the thermostat in the main floor living room. If there is no heat coming from the vents after 5 or 10 minutes the pilot light should be checked. The heater is downstairs in the spare/storage room. Behind the access panel you’ll find the hot water heater and the house heater.

  • If you smell gas - immediately turn off the heater via the thermostat and open the window in the storage room - it just means the pilot light is off and heater is trying to start - wait 10 minutes and then light the pilot light
  • Please contact Paul if this happens to you

Interior Cameras

When you arrive there are two cameras in the house, one upstairs and one near the door downstairs. Please feel free to disconnect them for your stay but please reconnect them before you leave.

Exterior Cameras

There are several camera on the outside of the house. These can be disconnected by pressing the  "Outdoor Cameras" button on the tablet near the dining room table. You will see the images on the right go blank. It is up to you if you'd prefer them connected or disconnected. We usually leave these connected while we are there, but disconnect the interior cameras.

Internet

We have a normal high speed internet connection that should support any streaming/working/gaming needs you may have. You can connect to “GrizzlyNet” with password *****. We have a printer in the house, if needed let Paul know as there are a couple of tricks to getting it to work on the network.

Water

We try to have the water ON before anyone arrives, however if you arrive and the water is OFF you can turn it back on via the tablet in the dining room.

  • The water ON/OFF is controlled by the button in the top left

Please note that after pressing the button it takes 10s for the first valve to change and ~30s for all three valves to change (Sometimes you may need to press the button harder/longer to get it to work - you should see a “command sent” message pop up briefly on the screen, then just wait 30s)

In the event this does not work the water valves are located in the buildout below the house, please contact Paul and he can walk you through manually turning the water ON.
